Chad Schmidt: Base Manager

Chad enjoys target shooting, three-way chess, judicial proceedings, and putting rappellers into trees. He lives in Redmond with his wife and two daughters.

Adam Kahler: Asst. Foreman
Adam Kahler is a third-generation Oregonian who doesn’t plan on ever leaving this great state! After many years with the Malheur Rappel Crew he has made a home here in Central Oregon with his daughter. During his off time you can find him climbing at Smith Rock, hunting ducks in a slough, or working back on the family farm.
Chris Burford: Squad Leader
Chris is a longtime rappeller who has ping-ponged back and forth between COR and the Malheur Rappel Crew throughout his career. We're glad to have his experience and expertise back in Prineville.
Gretchen Dengler: PSE Senior
Originally from the great state of maple syrup and Ben and Jerry’s. 2018 rookie class, previously a member of Superior Helitack in MN, and several seasons on the Pike NF as a district resource and trail crew lead.
Grzegorz Darda: PSE Senior
Born in Poland, raised in Brooklyn. Believes that luck often enough will save a man if his courage holds.
Tommy Parker: PSE Senior
Tommy is a longtime firefighter in the Pacific Northwest, having worked on a variety of hotshot, smokejumper, and rappeller modules around the area.
Hugo Treinen: PSE Senior
Hugo joins us from the neighboring Deschutes National Forest. He was born and raised in Gold Beach, Oregon, which he claims has unmatched beauty and tranquility.
Todd Bowers: Senior Firefighter
A Minnesota native, Todd comes to us after hotshotting for several seasons in the rough country on the Klamath National Forest. 
Jeremy Gottfried: Asst. Foreman
Jeremy came to Prineville in 2011 after beginning his rappel career on the Malheur Rappel Crew. When he's not working he enjoys just about every human powered activity in the mountains.
Jason Biggerstaff: Squad Leader
"Biggs" joined the crew in 2014 after many years with the Pike Hotshots and a season with the Price Valley Rappellers.
Harley Hamman: Squad Leader
Harley joined the crew in 2015 after spending many seasons on the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest in northern Idaho, where he worked on IA and helitack modules. He is one of our most highly skilled Advanced Fallers and loves to make trees crash in the woods.
Pat McPhee: PSE Senior
Hailing from New England, Pat came to the crew in 2013 after years on the Pike Hotshots and a year of public service with Americorps NCCC in Denver.
Jared Rummell: PSE Senior
Rummell prides himself on being a native Oregonian. He has been rappelling fires for COR since 2014.
Tyler Knauth: PSE Senior
 A Montana native, Tyler made his move out Oregon after spending a couple seasons of hotshotting in his home state.
Gareth Griffes: Senior Firefighter
A Cincinnati Bengal fan from birth until death, Gareth joined the crew in 2019. He spent his early twenties on trail crews out west, before serving four years on the Cedar City Hotshots in SW Utah. Some of his interests include diving, travelling abroad, running, and exotic wildlife. 
Adam Vanderpool: Senior Firefighter
Adam originally hails from Colorado but has been fighting fire in the northwest for several years. He joined the crew in 2019 after 3 seasons on the Zigzag Hotshots. He spends his winters backcountry snowboarding, rock climbing, and traveling.
Jesse Pfister: Senior Firefighter
Jesse was born and raised in the Midwest and has been fighting fire since 2008. This will be his fourth season as a rappeller after starting on the Malheur Rappel Crew in 2013. 
Carson Baxter: Rookie
Garrett Shephard: Rookie
Sean Panora: Senior Firefighter
Panora is a Connecticut native but likes to call Portsmouth, NH home. Played lacrosse at Keene State College and graduated with a degree in Safety Science in 2008. Prior to joining the crew Panora spent 3 seasons fighting fire on the Bend Fort Rock RD of the Deschutes. Panora is a surf and travel enthusiast and enjoys spending the majority of his winter in Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica chasing waves!

Destry Serna: Senior Firefighter
After bouncing around different crews and helitack modules in the northwest Destry has finally landed here in Central Oregon where he enjoys biking, surfing, and snowboarding with his family.
James Rosenberger: Rookie
Originally from Ohiopyle, PA, James has been fighting fire since 2015. Prior to joining COR he spent two seasons with Lassen IHC. During his time off James chases whitewater both locally and internationally.
